Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been appointed as the Official AI & Technology Partner for the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris. This marks the beginning of a three-year collaboration between TCS and one of the world’s most prestigious marathon events.

The partnership is between TCS and the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris, which is managed by Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.). TCS, known for its deep expertise in AI, data analytics, and digital innovation, will bring cutting-edge technology solutions to enhance the overall marathon experience. With over 30 years of presence in France and partnerships with major French companies, TCS is well-placed to bring local insights and global capabilities to this collaboration.

The partnership was officially announced on April 1, 2025, and is set to span three years, covering future editions of the Paris marathon.

The focus of this partnership is the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris, which takes place annually in Paris, France. However, the collaboration will also involve work at TCS’ PacePortTM innovation hub in Paris and draw on TCS’ global network of innovation centers.

The Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris attracts over 55,000 runners from more than 145 countries, making it one of the most iconic and globally recognized marathons. By teaming up with TCS, the event aims to create a smarter, more engaging, and more personalized experience for both participants and spectators.

TCS will use advanced AI tools, predictive analytics, and digital twin technologies to improve race logistics, monitor athlete performance, and create immersive experiences for viewers. These innovations are expected to not only enhance individual training and race-day performance but also contribute to sustainability and crowd management.

TCS will use its AI and technology capabilities to deliver several key enhancements to the marathon. This includes developing personalized training tools for runners using data-driven insights, offering real-time tracking and predictive analytics during the race, and creating immersive digital experiences for spectators.

TCS will also leverage its PacePortTM Paris to prototype and test new AI-powered solutions. Early priorities include creating AI-based personal trainers, tools for monitoring runner well-being, and advanced performance analytics to help athletes prepare better and recover smarter.

The technology will also help optimize logistics and reduce environmental impact, supporting the marathon's sustainability goals.

This partnership is part of TCS’ larger commitment to using technology in sports. TCS already supports 14 global running events, including major marathons in New York, London, and Mumbai. In 2024, races supported by TCS raised nearly $280 million for charitable causes, highlighting the company’s broader focus on creating social impact.
