Samsung Speeds Up Fixing 5G Issues with Keysight's Automation Tool

Good news for mobile users! Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) has implemented a new tool from Keysight Technologies that will help them identify and fix problems with 5G connections much faster.

This tool, called Keysight Signaling Field-To-Lab (S-FTL), allows SSIR to quickly analyze data collected from real-world situations (field logs) and recreate those scenarios in a controlled lab environment. This eliminates the time-consuming process of manually analyzing logs, which can be incomplete or contain errors.

Previously, fixing complex 5G issues involved a lot of tedious work for engineers. Now, with S-FTL, the tool automatically creates test cases from the field data, allowing engineers to focus on solving the problems themselves. This significantly reduces the time it takes to fix issues and ultimately improves the overall experience for mobile users (QoE).

The S-FTL solution can handle a wide range of situations, including voice and data calls, phone handovers between towers, and different network configurations. This ensures that SSIR can address a broad spectrum of problems that users might encounter.
