Salesforce’s TrailblazerDX 2025 (TDX25) conference brought together developers, administrators, architects, and partners to explore the latest innovations in AI and autonomous agents. The company announced Agentforce 2dx, the latest evolution of its digital labour platform, designed to seamlessly integrate autonomous AI agents into business workflows and also launched AgentExchange, a built-in marketplace designed to connect businesses with trusted AI solutions
Agentforce 2dx
The enhanced Agentforce 2dx allows businesses to embed AI agents into existing data systems, business logic, and user interfaces, empowering them to anticipate needs and take dynamic actions without constant human oversight.
A key highlight of Agentforce 2dx is the introduction of low-code and pro-code tools, enabling Salesforce developers to configure, test, and deploy AI agents with confidence. These tools are complemented by real-time analytics, providing teams with critical insights to monitor, debug, and optimize AI agent performance.
According to Adam Evans, EVP and GM of Salesforce’s AI Platform “Companies today have more work than workers, and Agentforce is stepping in to fill the gap. By extending digital labour beyond CRM, we’re making it easier than ever for businesses to embed agentic AI into any workflow or application to handle routine tasks, augment employees, and connect with customers. With deep integrations across Salesforce’s digital labour platform, CIOs, IT leaders, and developers can seamlessly build agents and automate work wherever it happens, driving efficiency, fuelling innovation, and unlocking new opportunities in the $6 trillion digital labour market.”
To encourage experimentation, Salesforce has introduced the Agentforce Developer Edition, a free environment where developers can prototype AI agents and explore the capabilities of Data Cloud, Salesforce’s hyperscale data engine.
AgentExchange: A Trusted AI Marketplace
Modelled after the success of Salesforce AppExchange, which has facilitated over 13 million app installations, AgentExchange aims to revolutionize the $6 trillion digital labour market by offering organizations seamless access to AI-driven capabilities.
According to Alice Steinglass, EVP & GM of Platform, Integration and Automation at Salesforce, “AgentExchange empowers customers to seamlessly integrate trusted AI solutions within their workflow. Now our developer community can directly tap the expertise of our partner ecosystem to get the right industry-specific solutions so they can build and implement AI agents, and be the pioneers turning their businesses into Agentforce companies.”
Salesforce partners are already building powerful Agentforce components for AgentExchange. For example, Google Cloud enables Agentforce agents to access real-time data via Vertex AI and Google Search, while Box allows agents to extract insights from unstructured data and interact with content using natural language. DocuSign helps automate workflows by generating agreements, routing for signatures, and tracking status. Additionally, Workday streamlines HR processes like onboarding, benefits management, and career development, improving both employee experience and HR efficiency.
Enhancements
Salesforce has enhanced AgentExchange and Agentforce, making AI agents smarter, easier to deploy, and more industry-focused. New partner-built components expand AI capabilities, including Actions for industry-specific tasks, Prompt Templates for consistent interactions, Topics to refine agent behaviour, and Agent Templates for ready-made AI solutions. Businesses can now easily find, test, and deploy AI solutions through AgentExchange or Salesforce’s Agent Builder, while built-in Slack and CRM actions enable agents to create cases, cancel orders, update Slack, and send messages. Additionally, AgentExchange fosters collaboration, allowing businesses, partners, and developers to connect, share best practices, and drive AI innovation forward.
Building an AI-First Community with Agentblazers
Alongside Agentforce 2dx and AgentExchange, Salesforce also launched the Agentblazer community, an inclusive network for Salesforce admins, developers, CTOs, CIOs, and other IT leaders. This community will foster innovation by providing members with opportunities to share best practices, collaborate, and develop AI-first strategies using Trailhead, Salesforce’s learning platform.
By combining Agentforce 2dx’s autonomous AI capabilities, AgentExchange’s marketplace of trusted AI solutions, and the Agentblazer community, Salesforce is ushering in a new era of AI-powered digital labor, transforming the way organizations operate, innovate, and scale in an increasingly automated world.
