Salesforce is deepening its push into intelligent enterprise software by acquiring Spindle AI, a startup best known for turning high-volume business data into smart, autonomous simulations. While financial details remain under wraps, the deal is expected to close in Salesforce’s Q4 fiscal 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
Founded by ClearGraph alum Ryan Atallah and Volley ML’s Carson Kahn, Spindle AI brings with it a sharp focus on agentic systems, software agents that reason, learn, and act independently. Their technology allows businesses to simulate key decisions such as pricing changes or go-to-market (GTM) strategies using AI agents that forecast outcomes in real time.
With this acquisition, Spindle AI will integrate into Salesforce’s Agentforce division and contribute to its Agent Observability and Self-Improvement initiatives.
What Spindle AI brings to the table
Spindle AI’s core strength lies in its neuro-symbolic agents and native AI data systems. These allow organizations to go beyond dashboards and start asking predictive “what if” questions. From optimizing sales mix to simulating revenue-impacting decisions, Spindle’s platform condenses the work of a full analytics team into seconds.
“The future of the agentic enterprise isn’t about having the most data, it’s about making that data speak a common language,” said Adam Evans, EVP & GM of Salesforce AI Platform. “Bringing Spindle AI onboard gives us access to top-tier talent and cutting-edge analytics that make Agentforce smarter and faster.”
Agentforce 360 gets a serious upgrade
For Salesforce, the acquisition plugs directly into its broader plan to build AI-native systems that don’t just report but reason. Spindle’s capabilities will be applied to custom analytics, ROI forecasting, and real-time scenario modeling, enhancing Agentforce 360’s ability to interpret, explain, and adapt enterprise-level AI agents.
Jayesh Govindarajan, EVP of Salesforce AI, described the move as more than a product play. “We aren’t just acquiring a platform; we’re bringing on world-class expertise,” he said. “Ryan, Carson, and the Spindle team have nailed the technical complexity behind AI observability and value forecasting.”
Enterprise AI that explains itself
The integration with Salesforce positions Spindle AI to scale its agentic simulations across global enterprises. According to Spindle co-founder Carson Kahn, future AI systems will be judged not just by intelligence, but by their ability to self-monitor and improve.
“The next generation of agentic systems will be measured by how well they can continuously monitor, explain, and improve their own reasoning,” Kahn said.
Following the close of the acquisition, Spindle’s team will focus on advancing Agentforce 360’s agentic forecasting, observability, and self-improvement layers.
As businesses increasingly rely on autonomous AI to make decisions, Salesforce is making a calculated bet: that explainability, foresight, and agility will define the next frontier of enterprise analytics.
