Roomstory.ai, India’s first AI-powered interior discovery and shopping assistant, has raised ₹3 Crores in a pre-seed funding round led by Rukam Sitara Fund. The round also saw participation from Aakash Anand, Founder of Bella Vita Organic, and startup studio Wolfpack Labs.
The funds will be used to strengthen the platform’s AI capabilities, launch its website and mobile applications, and deliver a seamless, immersive digital experience for users keen on designing and shopping for home interiors.
Founded by architect-entrepreneurs Ekatva Jain (CEO), Sahil Lunia (Chief Design Officer), and Punit Jain (COO), Roomstory.ai brings over a decade of hands-on design experience into a tech-first model. The platform enables users to explore curated, aesthetically designed rooms and instantly shop every item via direct links to partner retailers — effectively combining inspiration with execution.
“Most interior platforms force you to choose between inspiration and shopping — we eliminate that divide. Roomstory doesn’t just show you a beautiful room; it hands you the exact tools to recreate it,” said Ekatva Jain, Co-founder & CEO.
The investment underscores growing confidence in India’s burgeoning design-tech ecosystem. Archana Jahagirdar, Founder and Managing Partner at Rukam Sitara Fund, noted,
“Roomstory is the kind of bold, intuitive idea we love to support — rooted in deep design expertise and powered by cutting-edge AI. Their platform unlocks massive potential in a category that has long lacked innovation.”
Aakash Anand added,
“Roomstory is tapping into a massive shift in how modern consumers discover and buy for their homes. Their AI-native approach bridges the long-standing gap between dreaming and doing.”
Globally, the home and interiors category, estimated to be worth over $800 billion, is rapidly embracing visual-first, AI-driven discovery. In India, the interior design market alone is projected to grow to $38.2 billion by 2027, at a CAGR of 30%, with the combined opportunity including the furniture sector estimated at around $76 billion.
As the industry shifts towards tech-enabled, personalised experiences, Roomstory.ai aims to lead the charge by creating a community where design inspiration seamlessly meets purchase intent — redefining the future of interior commerce in India and beyond.
