RailTel Corporation of India, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Railways, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) to provide a wide range of Information Technology (IT) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services.
The agreement was formalized in the presence of senior officials from both organizations, including Sanjai Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of RailTel, and Raj Kumar Choudhary, CMD of NHPC. This collaboration is expected to enhance NHPC’s digital capabilities and improve its IT infrastructure.
Scope of the Agreement
Under the MoU, RailTel will offer NHPC an extensive range of IT and ICT solutions, including:
- Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Services ensuring seamless data storage and retrieval with robust disaster recovery mechanisms.
- CCTV Surveillance Solutions to enhance security across NHPC’s facilities with advanced monitoring and surveillance.
- IT and Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure to improve operational efficiency through cutting-edge digital infrastructure.
- Security Operations Center (SOC) Services to strengthen cybersecurity measures to protect critical data and IT assets.
The partnership aims to provide NHPC with access to RailTel’s advanced digital infrastructure at competitive rates while ensuring compliance with central government regulations and cybersecurity protocols.
