NSDC, IIT Guwahati Partner with Rooman Tech for Modern Skills Courses

NSDC, IIT Guwahati, and Rooman Tech collaborate to offer microcredit courses in modern skills. Aimed at Industry 4.0, the partnership enhances India's tech talent.

NSDC, IIT Guwahati Partner with Rooman Tech

NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation), under the  Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), joins hands with IIT Guwahati and Rooman Technologies to offer India's inaugural microcredit advanced certificate courses in modern skills for the benefit of youth. NSDC's strategic partnership aims to empower India's youth in Industry 4.0 and emerging technologies. The collaboration aims to develop a skilled workforce aligned with the demands of the evolving job market, leveraging the accessibility of IIT Guwahati to youth.

The MoUs were exchanged between Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO and MD of NSDC International, and Manish Kumar, CEO of Rooman Technologies.

The partnership will facilitate the transfer of earned credits to degree programs under the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The curriculum, based on credits, will encompass futuristic domains including VLSI, Data Science, AI-ML, Cyber Security, and Cloud Computing.

The initiative will develop a proficient talent pool that meets the demand for skilled professionals within the semiconductor industry while also offering tech enthusiasts abundant opportunities to expedite their professional growth and development”, said Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, of NSDC and MD, NSDC International.

Additionally, the partnership aims to enhance India's semiconductor industry and enhance the skill sets of students pursuing BTech/BE/BSc/BCA/MCA programs in the VLSI domain. Upon completing the short-term VLSI program, students will qualify for entry-level positions as VLSI design engineers, verification engineers, and physical design engineers.

All courses will be delivered through online training sessions conducted by distinguished faculty members from IIT Guwahati. This pioneering program is designed for tech enthusiasts, offering them thorough knowledge and hands-on skills essential for success in the digital era.

These partnerships will provide students with global and centralized opportunities to gain advanced training in innovative concepts and techniques. It will inspire them to explore cutting-edge technologies within India's tech ecosystem.
