Short: NPCI unveils UPI Circle: How to Use UPI Circle on Google Pay?

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has introduced a new feature called 'UPI Circle,' which allows users to share their UPI accounts with up to five secondary users

This feature is designed to enhance financial inclusivity by enabling secondary users, who may not have their own bank accounts, to make transactions using the primary user's account

UPI Circle can be accessed through popular UPI apps like Google Pay, BHIM, and PhonePe

Primary users can choose between Full Delegation, allowing secondary users to make transactions independently, and Partial Delegation, requiring manual approval for each transaction

Full Delegation permits transactions up to ₹5,000 per transaction with a monthly cap of ₹15,000, while Partial Delegation offers closer oversight by the primary user

A 24-hour cooling period is implemented when adding new secondary users, limiting transactions to ₹5,000 during this time to ensure security

There are no additional fees for using UPI Circle, making it an accessible option for all UPI app users

UPI Circle aims to empower financial independence, enhance family financial management, and promote financial inclusion by extending digital payment capabilities to those who may be excluded from the digital economy

The setup process for UPI Circle is straightforward, involving steps like verifying the secondary user's mobile number and setting transaction limits

As UPI Circle continues to roll out, it is expected to transform financial management for families, caregivers, and individuals, promoting seamless and secure transactions across India
