Noida International Airport (NIA) has partnered with Kyndryl, IT infrastructure services provider, to manage its advanced technology operations and ensure seamless 24x7 IT services support. The collaboration aims to create a world-class travel experience for passengers by leveraging cutting-edge technology solutions.
Technology at the Core of Airport Operations
As a greenfield airport, NIA is committed to integrating state-of-the-art technology to provide an efficient and passenger-friendly experience. Kyndryl will establish a robust IT infrastructure by evaluating the existing architecture, implementing effective governance frameworks, and ensuring security and compliance in daily operations. The partnership will also focus on asset management and risk mitigation strategies to maintain high operational standards.
One of the key elements of this collaboration is the implementation of Kyndryl Bridge, an AI-powered open integration platform that enables real-time monitoring of IT infrastructure. By automating system management and proactively detecting potential issues, Kyndryl Bridge will help minimize disruptions and optimize airport operations. The platform will also provide data-driven insights to enhance decision-making and improve the overall efficiency of airport services.
Cybersecurity and Compliance
With increasing threats to digital infrastructure, Kyndryl will implement robust cybersecurity measures, including first-response systems for cyber incidents, continuous security monitoring, and policy administration. These measures will ensure that NIA remains resilient against evolving cyber threats and maintains the highest standards of data security.
Leaders Speak on the Collaboration
Christoph Schnellmann, Chief Executive Officer of Noida International Airport, emphasized the importance of integrating technology to elevate passenger experience. “At Noida International Airport, our commitment to excellence drives every decision we make. Partnering with Kyndryl allows us to leverage their global expertise and innovative solutions to create a world-class airport that prioritizes passenger satisfaction and operational efficiency.”
Lingraju Sawkar, President of Kyndryl India, highlighted the strategic significance of the partnership: “Improving people connectivity across India is imperative and supports critical infrastructure needs. It’s a privilege to enter into a new engagement with Noida International Airport ahead of its launch. This collaboration allows us to integrate Kyndryl’s full spectrum of technology, consulting, delivery, and sustainability services to support the airport’s growth.”
A Glimpse into Noida International Airport
NIA is designed to combine Indian hospitality with Swiss efficiency, offering a modern, user-friendly environment for travelers. The airport’s first phase includes one runway and one terminal, with the capacity to accommodate 12 million passengers annually. Upon full completion, NIA will handle up to 70 million passengers per year.
The airport is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, in collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Government of India. It aims to achieve a net-zero emissions goal through sustainable design and operations.
Conclusion
The partnership between Noida International Airport and Kyndryl marks a significant step toward creating a technology-driven, world-class aviation hub. By leveraging AI-powered automation, robust security frameworks, and advanced IT services, the airport is set to deliver an unparalleled travel experience while ensuring seamless and secure operations.
