Maximus enhances payment security with Futurex HSMs

Maximus Infoware, a digital payments and infrastructure provider, has partnered with Futurex, an enterprise data security expert worldwide, to implement sophisticated encryption technology into its payment processing platform.

Maximus has implemented Futurex’s Excrypt Plus payment HSMs (hardware security module) into its flagship ASTRA Universal Payment Switching Solution which greatly improves the security and speed of digital transactions while offering financial services greater scalability and reliability.

Stronger payment security at every step

Futurex’s HSMs deliver point-to-point encryption (P2PE) to Maximus terminals, which improves consumer experience during any tap or card swipe at a retail terminal. Payments are encrypted at that point of interaction, the card information remains encrypted during its transit to the payment processor and can only be decrypted in a PCI certified secure environment, through a PCI compliant payment provider, thereby offering greater levels of tampering and fraud protection.
