India's First Private DeepTech Hub Launches in NCR

This DeepTech Hub with the goal of raising $100 million for the DeepTech ecosystem. The hub will support DeepTech startups that have grown out of incubation centers but still need help to succeed.

DeepTech VC (8X Ventures), a DeepTech community enabler (SanchiConnect), and an IP advisory firm (Arctic Invent) have collaborated to launch India's first privately sponsored DeepTech hub. This hub aims to support up to 10 DeepTech startups in its first year without taking equity. The primary goal is to unite members of the thriving DeepTech ecosystem who have graduated from incubation centers but still need ecosystem support to realize their ambitions. The hub collectively aims to mobilize $100 million in the DeepTech sector.

Located in a 7,000+ sq ft area in Noida, the DeepTech Hub has ambitious growth plans. It intends to expand to a 100,000+ sq ft space within the next year to accommodate the increasing interest from startups, VCs, and other ecosystem members. The hub will feature state-of-the-art labs, collaborative workspaces, critical shared resources for scaling DeepTech startups, and exclusive access to industry-leading mentors and experts. 8X Ventures, an early-stage DeepTech VC firm led by Chirag Gupta, recently announced the first close of its second INR 200 crore DeepTech Fund. Their previous fund has invested in companies such as Solinas Integrity, XYMA Analytics, Patherun Technologies, Lightspeed Photonics, and Zenpulsar.

SanchiConnect, one of the largest DeepTech ecosystem enablers in the country, supports over 3,000 DeepTech startups and more than 500 academic incubators, mentors, corporates, institutional funds, and technology partners through its SaaS platform. It frequently runs focused programs with corporations, academic institutions, and VC firms, emphasizing providing funding and market access to startups.
