IIT Kanpur Summer Internship 2024: Registrations Open

IIT Kanpur Summer Internship 2024 has been announced. The institute is offering the Students – Undergraduate Research Graduate Excellence (SURGE) program under the Center for Continuing Education.  This program offers a unique opportunity for undergraduates and M.Sc first-year students to grow in the field of research. It aims to foster a culture of interdisciplinary education and research among students, with a focus on hands-on experience and collaboration between students and faculty.

How to apply for IIT Kanpur Summer Internship 2024?

The candidates who fit the eligibility criteria can register themselves online through the SURGE website during the designated period. The application process involves completing the registration form, payment of registration fees (for non–IITK students), and submission of necessary documents.

Students can follow this steep-bu-step guide to apply for the IIT Kanpur Summer Internship 2024 program:

•  Visit the SURGE program online and complete the registration process.
• You will receive an email confirming successful registration along with login credentials.
•  If you are a Non-IITK student, proceed to pay the registration fee of Rs. 750/- as per the provided payment procedure.
• Note down the transaction ID and save the payment receipt in PDF format for future reference.
•  Login to the registration portal using the provided credentials.
•  Fill in all sections of the online registration form, including personal information, academic details, and uploading of required documents. (Non-IITK students must enter the transaction ID and upload the payment receipt in PDF format) 
  
  
  
   Review the completed form for accuracy before final submission.
•  Upon successful submission, you will receive an email confirming the completion of the online registration form. This email will include a generated application number, which should be referenced in all future correspondence.

What financial support will be provided to IIT Kanpur Summer Internship 2024 participants?

The SURGE program welcomes students from IIT Kanpur, other institutions, and SAARC countries and offers various categories for participation including Institute Funded, Project Funded, and Self-Funded options. 

• Financial Support for Institute-Funded Category

Students selected under this category may receive a stipend of Rs. 12,500/- during the program duration. Candidates with CPI >= 8.5 are eligible for consideration for Institute Funding.

• Financial Support for Project Funded Category

Students selected under this category may receive funding directly from the faculty members (mentors) of IIT Kanpur.

• Financial Support for Self-Funded Category

 Students selected under this category can work on projects of faculty members of IIT Kanpur, but they will not receive any funding.

• Financial Support for Funding for SAARC Participants

SAARC country students selected under this category are eligible for a scholarship of Rs. 12,500/-.  And, reimbursement of administrative charges and travel expenses up to Rs. 10,000/- (maximum) or as per actual.
