India's burgeoning economy is creating a surge in demand for skilled financial planners. To meet this growing need, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) has joined hands with Financial Planning Standards Board India (FPSB India) to launch a cutting-edge certification program.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today by Prof. Archana Shukla, Director-in-charge, IIM Lucknow, and Mr. Krishan Mishra, Chief Executive Officer, FPSB India. This partnership marks a significant step forward in enhancing financial planning education and certification in India.
"At IIM Lucknow, we are committed to providing our students with a holistic education that equips them with the practical skills needed to navigate today's complex financial landscape," said Prof. Archana Shukla. "This collaboration with FPSB India is a testament to our dedication to innovation and industry-relevant education."
The certification program, set to launch in the academic session 2024-25, will be open to both students and working professionals. It aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, preparing graduates to become trusted advisors in the financial planning industry.
"By combining IIM Lucknow's academic excellence with FPSB India's industry expertise, we are creating a powerful platform to develop world-class financial planners," said Mr. Krishan Mishra. "This partnership will not only address the current skills gap but also empower individuals to build successful careers in the financial planning sector."
Graduates of the program will be well-prepared to tackle complex financial challenges, develop comprehensive financial plans, and provide expert advice to clients. The program's alignment with global financial planning standards will also open doors for graduates to pursue international career opportunities.
