IDEMIA India Foundation, the CSR division of global cryptography and biometric technology leader IDEMIA, has joined forces with Microsoft in India to deliver globally recognised cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) certification programmes.
The initiative aims to equip underserved youth, with a focus on women, with in-demand technical skills to enhance their employability. Over 500 participants annually will gain training in digital productivity, software development, IT support, cloud computing, data analysis, and AI, bridging skill gaps in the technology sector.
The certification programmes feature both foundational and advanced courses tailored to specific domains, including Microsoft Office 365, Azure AI Fundamentals, Associate Analyst certification, and more. Each course combines theoretical instruction with practical applications to ensure workforce readiness.
Matthew Foxton, Regional President, IDEMIA India, said the initiative underscores the organisations’ commitment to socio-economic development by fostering workforce skills in emerging technologies. “By providing globally recognised certifications, we enhance employability and unlock better career opportunities for participants,” he added.
Manju Dhasmana, India Senior Director, CSR, Microsoft, highlighted the synergy between IDEMIA's focus on inclusive development and Microsoft's technological expertise. “This collaboration supports our ADVANTA(I)GE India 2030 goal of equipping youth with AI skills critical to the modern economy,” she noted.
IDEMIA India Foundation funds the training, while Microsoft supplies the curriculum and certifications. Structured execution includes candidate assessments, domain-specific training, and final evaluations, ensuring a high-impact learning experience.
This partnership reflects a strategic effort to bridge the digital divide and empower underprivileged communities through technology-driven initiatives.
