A cutting-edge pioneer in creating and producing ophthalmic screening tools, C3 Med-Tech has announced that it has obtained INR 2 crore from Industrial Metal Powders. The introduction of innovative telemedicine services and portable AI-enabled devices for efficient eye exams and real-time illness diagnosis in the eyes will be made possible by this funding. By combining AI and telemedicine, it will be possible to identify patients quickly and accurately, allowing for prompt intervention and significantly increasing the likelihood of preventing blindness and visual impairment.

For C3 Med-Tech, this strategic investment represents a significant turning point. With the money, the company hopes to grow domestically and internationally through marketing initiatives, staff development, and product research and development.

The portable, lightweight, battery-operated, and user-friendly eye screening devices from C3 Med-Tech fill this vital gap in the market, in contrast to the bulky, costly, and specialised equipment used in traditional eye exams.

The C3 Vision-Portable Slit Lamp, C3 Smartphone Fundus Camera, C3 Slit Lamp Imaging System, and other patented and FDA-approved devices from C3 Med-Tech provide a novel method of diagnosing eye diseases that can lead to blindness and visual impairment, including cataract, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, corneal infections, and ocular surface disorders. Their next offering is a very distinctive method for videotaping eye surgery. With this product line, C3 will cover all aspects of ophthalmic diagnostics, from documenting eye surgeries in the operating room to conducting eye screenings in underdeveloped areas.

Previously, C3 Med-Tech was housed at the Healthcare Technology Innovation Centre (HTIC) at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, one of the most esteemed incubators in India. They have obtained numerous funds, including BIG'17 from the Indian government's Department of Biotechnology and other grants from the IIT Madras Incubation Cell. C3 has received finance assistance from INFSPL, an investment advice firm in Pune.
