There have been many serious concerns about the misuse of Ghibli art through AI. One big issue is copyright, as most AI generated images do not have permissions to copy the unique style of Studio Ghibli. Artistic integrity is also a concern for people because AI art doesn’t have the emotion and depth of the works that humans create. So while the co-founder of Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki, has even declared that he doesn’t think that AI can truly grasp the soul of animation.
