As Generative AI (GenAI) changes industries and transforms jobs, EY India has launched AI Academy, a program to help Businesses upskill their workforce with critical AI skills.
EY AI Academy is seen to lead to actionable learning through more than 200 real-life AI use cases. On AI Academy, learners will find structured modules, assembled by AI professionals, covering topics related to basic AI concepts to if GenAI applied in specific industries, such as telecom, banking, IT/ITeS, infrastructure and FMCG.
EY has already internally trained over 44,000 employees in AI and GenAI and is now expanding this work to help other organizations establish AI capabilities. The Academy utilizes role-based learning paths and project-based modules to ensure real-world impact. A pilot study with five companies has already resulted in 50+ AI projects and the development of AI leadership manifestos.
Key Components of the AI Academy
AI Ambassadors: A 2-day workshop for leaders to create an AI strategy that aligns with company vision and objectives.
AI Transformation Champions: Training specific to a role in order to identify, lead, and implement AI projects that result in desirable outcomes such as revenue growth, cost savings, or risk mitigation.
AI Aspirants: Basic training for employees on AI concepts and GenAI prompting methods.
AI Development & Implementation Specialists: Comprehensive technical training for professionals such as data scientists, AI engineers, and data engineers.
According to EY, 97% of companies see a lack of skilled talent as the biggest barrier to AI adoption. Speaking on the launch, Anurag Malik, Partner and Leader - People Consulting Services at EY India, said:

The initiative supports professionals across all levels—from entry-level roles to decision-makers—enabling a culture of innovation and adaptability in the workplace.
Beyond corporate training, EY is also nurturing young talent through initiatives like Techathon, a national competition where college students tackle real-world challenges using AI and emerging technologies.
