Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE), a division of DRDO under the Ministry of Defense is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
CVRDE is a specialized unit in designing and developing advanced Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFVs) for the Indian Army and other services by collaborating with prestigious institutions like IITs and IISc.
This opportunity aims to engage young and talented Indian nationals in research in areas related to AFV technologies.
CVRDE is looking to fill 28 JRF positions across multiple disciplines.

How to apply?
Follow the below given step-by-step guide to apply for the position of JRF at CVRDE.
- Download the application form from the official website of DRDO or CVRDE. Ensure you have Annexure I, which includes the format for the application.
- Fill in the application with all required details such as personal details, educational qualifications, contact information, etc.
- Gather self-attested copies of essential documents. It includes
- Date of Birth certificate
- Educational certificates (from SSC/Matric onwards)
- Mark sheets and degree certificates (B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech)
- GATE scorecard (if applicable)
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Proof of nationality (Aadhaar card, Passport, etc.)
- Any other relevant certificates (NET/UGC/CSIR qualification, if applicable)
- Scan all documents and send them in PDF format to pmhr.cvrde@gov.in.
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email for further proceedings.
What is the selection procedure?
Once the candidates are shortlisted they will undergo a written test and an interview at CVRDE, Avadi, Chennai. The written test will be followed by an interview on the same day, and candidates are advised to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation in Chennai.
