CRED announces opportunity to win ₹50 Lakh for Engineers through AI Hackathon

India’s artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem is witnessing a new initiative aimed at advancing innovation and technical skill development. Fintech company CRED has announced the CRED Rabbit Hole Challenge, an AI-focused hackathon scheduled to take place from April 4 to 6, 2025, in Bengaluru. This three-day event is being organised in collaboration with YOTTA and AWS, with participation limited to a select group of experienced engineers from across the country.

A Deep Dive into the Rabbit Hole

The CRED Rabbit Hole Challenge is designed to address real-world AI challenges through hands-on problem solving. The hackathon aims to bring together up to 50 shortlisted engineers, who will work on AI-driven solutions while having access to advanced development infrastructure and support services.

Participants will receive:

  • Travel and accommodation support
  • Isolated cloud environments for development
  • AWS credits
  • Access to dedicated code repositories
  • Security review assistance and GitHub integration

Following the competition, one participant will be awarded an INR 50 lakh cash prize. In addition, the top three finalists will receive Shakti Cloud credits and an opportunity to be considered for YOTTA’s accelerator program.

The hackathon will be supported by YOTTA’s Shakti Cloud platform, which will provide access to over 3,000 hours of NVIDIA H100 GPU computing resources. This infrastructure is typically used in enterprise-grade AI applications and is intended to give participants the computing power needed to build and test advanced AI models.

YOTTA’s involvement brings high-performance computing capabilities to the initiative, with the broader goal of promoting scalable and sustainable AI development across sectors.

Who can apply?

The hackathon is open for all the engineers interested in applying. But, before that they must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18
  • At least five years of experience in software development
  • Residency in India with valid government-issued identification
  • Not employed by CRED, AWS, or YOTTA
