AceCloud, a Real Time Data Services (RTDS) brand, has announced the launch of Spot Instances with dynamic pricing across all its cloud regions. The company says the move will allow customers to access computing resources at 30–80% lower costs compared to standard on-demand hourly pricing.

Spot Instances give customers the option to use compute resources flexibly, making them well-suited for workloads that can tolerate interruptions. Typical examples include large-scale data analytics, machine learning, rendering, or development and testing environments.

Dynamic Pricing and Real-Time Visibility

AceCloud will provide dynamic pricing for Spot Instances that updates every hour. Customers can view a live pricing graph on the AceCloud website, showing trends based on time of day, week, instance type, and current demand. This visibility allows users to plan workloads around periods of lower demand and optimise their spending.

If demand peaks and the quota of Spot Instances runs out, customers still have the option of moving workloads to regular hourly or monthly instances.

Business Use Cases

Mr. Vinay Chhabra, Co-Founder and Managing Director of AceCloud, said the launch is aimed at giving organisations a way to balance cost savings with access to computing performance. According to him, workloads adaptable to interruptions are best placed to benefit from this model.

For startups in particular, Spot Instances can provide a cost-efficient way to scale. They can combine Spot Instances with on-demand instances to adapt resources as workloads change. This mix-and-match approach helps manage costs without compromising access to computing power when required.

Tools and Support

Spot Instances are available through the AceCloud console, where customers can select them while launching new resources. To support users, the company is offering technical support, a knowledge base, and tools for managing Spot Instances. These include monitoring features to track performance, manage capacity, and reduce the impact of possible interruptions.

By introducing this pricing model, AceCloud is extending its platform to customers who want to run flexible workloads at lower costs, while still keeping access to traditional on-demand options when guaranteed availability is critical.
