With in six weeks of sitting on Yahoo! top chair, Marissa Mayer has started giving signals that she is no mood to continue with the old army of the company's executives. Mayer has appointed Kathy Savitt as the new chief marketing officer (CMO), who was already handling the top job at Lockerz, a start up.
Savitt will join the office from mid September and has replaced Mollie Spillman. As per the sources, Spillman was on holiday and was informed just ten minutes prior to the time when this decision was taken.
So now whether Spillman will continue working in Yahoo in some other role or not is unclear. Although Mayer's strategy to run this internet giant is not clear, but one fact is evident that many top officials should not be surprised if they wake up seeing someone else in their role and chair.
