The DQ-CMR T-School Survey 2013-14 underlines the efforts of new T-schools and emerging T-schools to compete with their established counterparts with improved infrastructure, learning facilities, and global standards. Dataquest has tried to shift the limelight slightly from traditional giants and focused on the five best cases of rank improvements (amongst all participants) and five best new entrants (T-schools participating for the first time). Although, it continues to rank the institutions as is customary, the survey also outlines the significant rank improvements as well as the new entrants who have entered the list with a bang challenging the supremacy of those in the fray for a long time. While IITs are still the dominant lots and are crowd-pullers as far as the students and the industry are concerned, they have started facing competition from a range of new engineering colleges who have upgraded their infrastructure and tried to offer students best-in-class study experience.
