NEET PG 2024 Fake Registration Circular Goes Viral, Here’s the Truth

A fake notification regarding the registration dates for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 examination has gone viral on social media platforms. This misleading circular claims to be from the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) and provides false information about the commencement of NEET PG 2024 registration.

The fraud notice suggests that the registration process will start on Tuesday, 9^th January, with the deadline for application submissions set for 20^th January 2024. It further outlines the supposed schedule for the release of the official notification and the result date of the entrance examination.

Just after the circular went viral, Dr. Rohan Krishnan, the National Chairman of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA), took to Twitter to clarify the situation. He wrote, “This is a FAKE NOTICE circulated. Don’t trust WhatsApp or Telegram notices. Wait for the actual official order and Notice on the NBE WEBSITE ONLY. Notice will come soon. We should wait till Thursday/ Friday. Dates will be confirmed in the notice.”

Dr. Krishnan’s statement emphasized the importance of relying on official channels and urged aspirants to avoid misinformation spread through unofficial platforms. He specifically addressed the National Board of Examinations (NBE), the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), and the National Medical Commission (NMC) to confirm the official dates promptly.

The fake circular also asserts that the examination is scheduled to be conducted on 3^rd March 2024, by NBEMS on a Computer-Based Platform at various test centers across the country. However, this contradicts the initially planned exam date, which was rescheduled by the NBE.

In an earlier NBEMS exam calendar, the NEET PG examination was scheduled for 3^rd March. However, it has recently announced a postponement, rescheduling the NEET PG 2024 exam to 7^th July 2024.

Aspirants and stakeholders are advised to remain vigilant and await the official announcement from the NBE regarding the registration dates. Only information that has been published on the official NBE website should be considered accurate and trustworthy. Candidates must exercise patience and refrain from relying on unverified information circulated through unofficial channels.
