NDMA Internship 2020: Applications Invites from Postgraduate Students, Stipend Rs 12,000

Applications have been invited for NDMA internship 2020 for which postgraduate students in the 4th and 5th year of integrated five years or 1st and 2nd year of two years post-graduation can apply. Selected interns will be engaged within various departments of the National Disaster Management Authority for 6 to 8 weeks. Interns will also be paid a stipend of Rs 12,000 per month.

Interns can apply throughout the year and they will be engaged based on the requirement of NDMA. While interns will be required to have their own laptops, NDMA will provide them with a working space, internet facility and other necessities deemed fit by the division head.

Who Can Apply for NDMA Internship 2020?

Postgraduate students and researchers who are working in the field of economics, science, humanities, architects, management, engineering, medicine, and so on will be eligible for consideration as interns. However, preference will be given to students studying disaster management or related subjects. Initially, ten interns will be engaged, but the numbers may be changed based on the requirement.

Duties of the Selected Interns

The interns will be responsible for assisting, collating research or analysis in the following fields:

• SOPs and guidance notes.
• Project assignments.
• Research assignments.
• Training or capacity building and documentation.
• Process documentation.
• Day to day assignment – on the job training.
• Any other task as assigned by Supervisor.

How to Apply for NDMA Internship 2020?

The institute the interested students are studying in would be required to recommend their students for internships and send their application to Director, NDMA. Applicants would be required to indicate their area of interest and can apply for internship only once during a financial year.
