NASSCOM has invited students to take an artificial intelligence course valued at around Rs 6800 for free until 15 May 2020. The course is being offered on NASSCOM’s recently launched portal SkillUp Online, which was initiated along with support from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Those who successfully complete the course are also eligible to get a certificate from Skillup Online and NASSCOM FutureSkills.

What the NASSCOM AI Foundational Course Offers?

The AI Foundation program covers 6 courses, consisting of both theoretical and practical aspects. The 6 courses that will be covered are Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI), SQL and Relational Databases 101, Python for Data Science, Algorithms, Statistics 101, and Data Visualization with Python. Those who wish to take this online course need to have a basic knowledge of mathematics.

What do Students learn in the NASSCOM AI Foundational Course?

Students who undertake the course will be trained on technologies that will prepare them for a career that involved working with artificial intelligence (AI) systems. They would also be exposed to the widely used artificial intelligence programming language Python. Students will also be introduced to various aspects of artificial intelligence such as AI trends and career opportunities, understand how AI impacts business, understand the impact that statistics has on AI research, experience Python as an AI Tool, and so on.

How to Take the NASSCOM AI Foundational Course?

Interested students need to first enroll on the official Skillup Online portal with a valid email address and password. An option to enroll with other accounts such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Google and Microsoft is also available.
