NALCO Recruitment 2020 for 120 Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) vacancies through GATE 2020 for which online applications were being accepted until 9 April has now been extended to 2 May 2020. “In view of the present circumstances owing to COVID-19 outbreak, the last date for submission of online application for the recruitment of Graduate Engineers through GATE 2020 is extended up to 2 May 2020. However, all other terms and conditions of the advertisement including eligibility criteria, age limit, qualification, etc. for applying for the posts shall remain unchanged,” says the NALCO website. Selected engineers, for a period of one year, will be engaged as GETs during which they will get paid up to Rs 1,40,000. After a year, they will be absorbed as Junior Managers during which they will get paid up to Rs 1,80,000.
Who can Apply for NALCO Recruitment 2020?
Out of the 120 Graduate Engineer Trainee vacancies, 45 are for candidates with a degree in mechanical or production engineering, 29 are for candidates with a degree in electrical or power engineering, 15 are for candidates with a degree in Instrumentation, electronics, telecommunication or electrical engineering, 13 are for candidates with a degree in metallurgical engineering, 9 are for candidates with a degree in Chemical engineering or MTech in applied chemistry, 5 are for candidates with a degree in civil, architecture or ceramics engineering, and 4 are for candidates with a degree in mining engineering or diploma in mining engineering.
How to Apply for NALCO Recruitment 2020?
Interested and eligible candidates need to apply online on the official NALCO website before 2 May 2020. An online application fee of Rs 500 for general, EWS and OBC candidates, and Rs 100 for all other candidates needs to be made. Candidates will be selected based on their GATE 2020 scores. Upon online payment, an e-receipt will be generated, which will be needed while filling the online application form.
