Motif India: In the Reckoning

Despite being a small-town BPO, Motif India made it to the top

10 in its first attempt last year. And this year it does not disappoint. In

terms of overall satisfaction it scores 8.2. While 81% of its employees look

forward to each day at work and a good 90% feel proud of working for the

company, 84% express overall satisfaction with the work culture and environment.

Almost 90% of the respondents gave high ratings to its infrastructure. The same

percentage also felt satisfied over the way it conducts its business-the

highest percentage level among the companies.

However, these fail to make up for the low satisfaction levels

on other key employee satisfaction parameters like job content and growth

opportunity and stress levels. While 56% of the employees show overall

satisfaction with the job content and growth opportunity, only 48% feel that

they have exciting growth opportunities in the company. Motif also has the

second highest percentage of stressed out employees among the companies featured

in our survey. It has the highest proportion of employees with both sleeping and

digestive system-related disorders. The major reasons behind stress are timing,

and insufficient holidays.
