With the nearing elections and signs of stiff competition from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Narendra Modi has launched a mobile app called India 272+ this week. BJP is aiming at votes from the urban youth using social media and technology platforms.
India272+ is an online and on-ground volunteering platform with which the BJP hopes to gain a 272+ seat majority in the 545 seat Lok Sabha. The app is available for free to Android users on Google Play store.
The application allows users to participate and share thoughts on the forum. BJP intends to provide an online platform where volunteers can collaborate, contribute and campaign. It also works on crowdsourcing ideas and solutions for the Mission 272+ campaign.
Modi tweeted, "Launched India 272+ mobile app. the app will further empower volunteers to contribute easily, effectively and creatively".
BJP yesterday held a program in the wake of India 272+ Mission where PM candidate Narendra Modi personally interacted with volunteers in New Delhi. Modi called upon aspiring volunteers to take up tasks related to Mission 272+ based on their choice, skill and level of commitment.
