Ministry of Education Invites Applications from Students for Fully-funded Postgraduate Degree in Thailand

The Ministry of Education has invited applications from students for a fully-funded postgraduate degree in science in the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) in Thailand. The scholarships are being offered to Indian students under the ‘Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Post-graduate Scholarship Program for Non-ASEAN Applicants’ to pursue a Master's Degree study at the institute.

The scholarship covers tuition and other academic fees, round trip airfare, accommodation, monthly stipend, book allowance, health insurance, 6 weeks refresher courses, and so on. The postgraduate program, including the refresher courses, will most likely commence from June 2021 onwards.

Who can Apply for Fully-funded Postgraduate Degree in Thailand on Ministry of Education Portal

Students below thirty years of age with experience in scientific laboratory research from the following streams can apply:

  • Chemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, and Environmental Sciences.
  • Medicine and Medical Technology.
  • Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Other related fields.

Students are required to have a Bachelor's Degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.15 on a 4.0 GPA scale, and a valid TOEFL or IELTS score. Applicants must provide a statement of purpose explaining their interests in the study.

The scholarship will be provided to do a Master’s degree in Applied Biological Sciences: Environmental Health, Environmental Toxicology and Chemical Sciences. A total of five applicants will be nominated by the External Scholarship Division, Ministry of Education to the CGI for the award of this scholarship.

How to Apply for the CGI Scholarship on Ministry of Education Portal

Interested candidates would be required to apply on the official Sakshat website before 15 October 2020. The scanned copy of TOEFL or IELTS score, educational certificates, filled application form, research experience, and so on will have to be uploaded while submitting the applications.
