Ministry of Education Invites Applications from Students for Global Korea Scholarship 2021: Here Are the Details

The Ministry of Education will soon begin accepting applications from Indian students for the Global Korea Scholarship 2021. Selected students will get to study at Universities in the Republic of Korea. The 2021 Global Korea Scholarship is being offered by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) of the Government of the Republic of Korea.

The level of courses being offered under the scholarship is Master’s, Doctoral and Research programmes. The age limit to apply for the scholarship is 40 years of age or those born after 1 September 1981. Academic professors who are under 45 years of age as of 1 September 2021 are also eligible to apply. The final selection of candidates will be done by NIIED.

Who can Apply on the Ministry of Education Portal for Global Korea Scholarship 2021?

Online applications will be accepted from the following students and prospective candidates, as per the information provided by the Ministry of Education:

• Master’s program applicants must hold or must be expected to hold a Bachelor’s Degree or a level of education equivalent to or higher than a Bachelor’s degree by 31 August 2021.
• Doctoral program applicants must hold a Master’s degree or must be expected to hold a Master’s degree or a level of education equivalent to or higher than a Master’s Degree by 31 August 2021.
• Research program applicants must have received an invitation from one of the partner universities and can apply for a postdoctoral research program, professor exchange program, or program for education science culture international cooperation professional.

All applicants should have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) equivalent to or higher than 80% or above on a 100-point scale or be ranked within the top 20% within their class.

When and How to Apply for Global Korea Scholarship 2021?

The online applications will be opened on the Ministry of Education’s Sakshat portal from 22 February to 19 March 2021. Some of the documents needed for submitting online applications are Mark sheets of classes 10 and 12, last grade card or degree certificate, and so on.
