Mettl, the skill-measurement companies, is excited to announce its Innovation Partnership with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The objective of this partnership is to deploy Mettl’s Innovative Technology - assessment platform, proctoring, AI; in a scalable manner to bring in more authenticity and credibility in the assessment process.

National Skill Development Corporation India (NSDC), established in 2009, is a not- for- profit company set up by the Ministry of Finance, under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 corresponding to Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. NSDC aims to promote skill development by catalyzing the creation of large, quality and for-profit vocational institutions.

The aim of this partnership is to utilize each other’s strengths to add value to various vocational as well as technology-driven training initiatives. Mettl offers a wide range of technology-driven solutions for online assessments, real-time grading, and online proctoring.

As an Innovation Partner with NSDC, Mettl aims to help massively scale assessments and certifications using the latest technology, wherever possible. These innovative technology solutions will help reduce costs because of fewer logistics hassles and improve assessment quality by preventing malpractices in remote assessments.

Some of the problems which will be solved by Mettl’s AI-enabled Auto-Proctoring Solutions:

  • Mettl’s online skill testing software offers webcam proctoring of the candidate. It is conducted remotely by the system in real time. Live images of the candidate are taken at regular intervals through system's webcam. This process will act as an additive to the already ready technology for faster, scalable and authentic examination process going forward.
  • AI-enabled feature, which helps in detecting any changes in the test window change, will detect how many times and the duration for which the candidate has attempted to go out of the test window.
  • Intuitive test reports presented in a format, that gives the agencies a quick analysis of the candidate's test performance. Section wise analysis will provide the agency with the insights to make the right certification and further skilling decisions.
