It will also contribute towards bolstering the National Security by protecting India’s vital Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) and falls in line with the Government’s vigorous Digital India pursuit. Some of the key objectives of the centre include accelerating R&D, knowledge creation and publications in cybersecurity as well as emerging technology areas such as Smart Cities, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain and Big Data.

ISAC is in a Public Private Partnership with National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre (NCIIPC), a designated nodal agency of Government of India under IT Act, 2000, for capacity building and protection of CII. ISAC manages and maintains the National Security Database (NSD) empanelment program and has an MoU with All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) for creating Centres of Excellence in the field of Cyber Security and ethical workforce through a workplace Ethics Rating Service known as Clean Exit.

ISAC and MDI Gurgaon will together facilitate the delivery of talks by subject matter experts from around the globe under the Distinguished Lecture Talks (DLTs) program. Both the parties will jointly plan and conduct DLTs throughout India from time-to-time.

Speaking on the initiative, Prof. (Dr.) Atmanand, Director (Additional Charge) MDI Gurgaon commented: “At MDI Gurgaon, we are committed to developing leading-edge management programs for new-age students to nurture them into thought leaders of tomorrow. We are pleased to enter into an MoU with ISAC – a first-of-its-kind initiative as no B-school has established a Centre on Cyber Security and Emerging Technologies. Our association is a step towards achieving our shared vision of enabling a robust and digitally-secure leadership training ecosystem in the country.”

Speaking on the occasion, Gp Capt (retd) Naidu, Director – ISAC, said, “every organisation is breached; some know it and the others are yet to realise”. Cybersecurity has assumed seriousness across sectors. This MoU aims to equip decision-makers and managers in getting a managerial perspective on cybersecurity. ISAC is very happy to collaborate with MDI in helping the premier B School create thought leaders in cybersecurity.
