The gateway aims at creating meaningful customer engagement while driving sales.

Marketing, e-business, and product strategy leaders want to create unified views for consumers to deliver the highly contextual services consumers seek. Mahindra Satyam created this aggregation gateway to change the way organizations ensure relevant experiences for customers. This will create an entirely new business model for information exchange that the current technology and infrastructure do not allow.

"We started this initiative by marrying the location data of the mobile subscribers from the telco networks with the historical and current payment transaction data from payment companies. The results were encouraging and prompted us to provide layered intelligence to our enterprise customers for generating incremental revenues from existing services and for launching new products and services," says Jagdish Mitra, CEO, CanvasM Technologies.

The platform is one-of-the first offering as a digital enterprise powered by NMACS. It leverages the expertise in telecom and networks, leadership position in analytics and security powered by our capability in the mobility and social space.

"We have been closely observing the demand drivers for mobile data for our enterprise customers particularly in the BFSI and retail verticals. These demand drivers can be classified into new business models, cost savings, and revenue and customer growth. We are excited that with this global inter-carrier gateway our enterprise customers will be able to use the mobile data analysis in refining their marketing strategies and product development particularly for mobile commerce." says Sudeep Kanjilal, global head, payments, Mahindra Satyam.

The current version of the gateway allows enterprise customers to use components such as analytics engine, location enabler for creating geo-fences. Messaging enabler for creating dialogues, privacy enabler for consent management and privacy modulation of mobile consumers.

The platform which was in beta production for the last 12 months was conceptualized as part of a collaboration program with the Singapore government. It is currently being evaluated by a global payment card company and one of the ministries in Singapore. The inter-carrier gateway will soon be available in other parts of the world to support global enterprise customers for their local and regional mobile data and analytics needs.
