LSI Merges with Agere



LSI Logic has announced that it has completed its merger with Agere Systems, and
that it will rename the newly merged company LSI Corporation. The two companies

had combined revenue of $3.5 bn for the 12 months ended December 31, 2006. The

new LSI operates in more than 20 countries, with a workforce of approximately

9,100 employees, including nearly 4,300 engineers.

MS to Acquire ScreenTonic



Microsoft has announced that it would acquire Paris-headquartered ScreenTonic
SA, a mobile advertising company. The acquisition would result in the

combination of Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions with the mobile expertise

of ScreenTonic. ScreenTonic's mobile solutions provide advertisers with a

range of ad formats, from display to text, as well as ad management and

reporting capabilities.

SRIT's New Acquisitions



Sobha Renaissance Information Technology (SRIT) has announced the acquisition of
Infotrack and Zipdrive from Tranquil Solutions. Infotrack, a Tranquil product,

is an integrated dealer management solution that collects dealership information

enabling access across departments.

Oracle Acquires Lodestar



Oracle has announced to acquire Lodestar, a provider of meter data management
and competitive energy solutions for the utilities industry. Chris Hamilos,

chairman and CEO, Lodestar said, "The natural synergies between Oracle's

and Lodestar's premier product suites, coupled with Oracle's extensive

research and development capacity, will enable us to further enhance our

products and ensure our clients' continued success."

CSC to Acquire Covansys



Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and Covansys
has announced that they have entered into an agreement under which, CSC will

acquire Covansys for $34 per share in an all-cash transaction. The transaction

is valued at approximately $1.3 bn.

Experian's New Acquisition



Experian, the global information solutions company, has announced that it has
acquired Emailing Solution, a leading French permission-based email marketing

provider. The acquisition further extends and deepens Experian's global reach

in the email sector. Founded in 2001, Emailing Solution currently serves over

300 brands from diverse industries.

Sage Acquires Snowdrop



Business management software solutions provider Sage Group has announced the
acquisition of Snowdrop Systems from its shareholders for an enterprise value of

£17 mn, in an all cash deal. Paul Walker, chief executive of Sage says,

"The acquisition brings a portfolio of HR and payroll software solutions

for the UK mid-market."

HTC to Acquire Dopod Int



High Tech Computer (HTC), provider of Microsoft Windows Mobile smart handheld
devices, has announced that it has signed an acquisition agreement with Dopod

International, PDA phone and smartphone distributors in Asia.

Siemens Aquires UGS



UGS, provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, has
announced the close of its acquisition by Siemens AG. As a result, the business

will go to market as UGS PLM Software, a global division of the Siemens

Automation and Drives (A&D) Group.
