NetApp to Acquire Bycast
NetApp will acquire Bycast, a privately held storage software maker
headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in an all-cash
transaction. Bycast develops object based storage software designed to manage
petabyte-scale, globally distributed repositories of images, video, and records
for enterprises and service providers. Founded more than ten years ago, Bycast
has helped more than 250 customers worldwide improve their operational
efficiency.
MphasiS Buys Fortify
MphasiS will acquire 100% stake in Fortify Infrastructure Servicesa global
provider of offshore based remote IT operations & management servicesin an
all-cash transaction. The base consideration of the deal is $15.5 mn. The
acquisition will give MphasiS access to marquee customers, an experienced
management team, and a proven platform to provide ROM services.
Sierra Buys Baytree
Sierra Atlantic has acquired Baytree Associates, a US based Oracle solutions
provider. The all-cash deal also included 50% of earn out through a three-year
period. The acquisition would give Sierra sixty employees who would be absorbed
into the company. Baytree Associates current revenues are put at $12-15 mn.
Rolta Acquires OneGIS
Rolta has acquired OneGIS, a consulting, development and systems integration
firm implementing geospatial and IT solutions. Rolta has acquired OneGIS
intellectual property, including the OneView Mobile solution, that allows field
personnel to apply specific work related actions to help automate their daily
work assignments through its unique, user configurable, Action Framework.
