Starting his career as a system administrator in a small company, he donned different technical roles. "During the course, I learnt various business aspects of management and found it fascinating to learn how important it is to see IT from a business perspective," shares Kumar.

But there were difficult phases as well which he took as opportunities to display his strength. One such time was when Kumar tried to move GlobalLogic's email and collaboration platform of 5,000+ users to a new cloud-based platform.

"Sudden transition could jeopardize the whole project. To handle it, we slowed down the project a little and made more and more users part of the project by asking them to be the first ones to try out the new system, and be a guide for others," says Kumar. It was when others had just started raising their brows about cloud technology.

Kumar has a number of feathers in his cap that testify his success. In 2010 he was honored with the title of India's Future CIO by IT Next, an IT magazine. It was an exciting moment for Kumar.

Kumar has a strong craving for learning and longs for challenges that would keep that flame alive.
