KSUM to host India’s largest Women Startups Summit in Kochi, which will also host panel discussions, fireside chats and keynote conversations

KSUM hosts Women's Startups Summit.

Kochi is hosting the ‘Women Startup Summit’ today, organized by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), in association with the Indian Women Network, under the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). It will bring together successful women leaders, startup founders, policymakers and aspiring women entrepreneurs on a common platform to share their experiences, aspirations and success stories.

Women entrepreneurs from across the country will converge in this summit, the deliberations, with ‘Developing an Inclusive Entrepreneurship Ecosystem’ as the central subject, will highlight motivating visionaries whose inventive actions are changing the world on a remarkable scale.’

Kerala Startup Mission played the significant role in development coordinating each bit of a dynamic Startup ecosystem. Start-ups in Kerala are extending their breaking points as they focus more around to future innovations and discovering solutions in ways not experimented previously.

Dr. Saji Gopinath, CEO, KSUM, said: “We work from ground level to create an inclusive system from schools with creating spirit of innovation to the colleges, we have 226 mini incubators as innovation entrepreneurship development cells where student startups are given a facility to experiment their ideas. Then we give small funds to convert the idea into the prototype, so basic idea is to create a pipeline. We motivate entrepreneurship and innovation space.

"When startups in deep tech areas require a lot of infrastructure, like good software infrastructure, hardware infrastructure, and mentoring support, and experts in specific areas. Here, in KSUM, we have created that level of infrastructure layer. We tied up with MIT and set-up the fab-labs. Now, we are planning to set up AR/VR labs with Unity. Also, we are planning to partner with Cisco to set-up a cybersecurity lab. “

All eyes are on the upcoming Women Startup Summit, the event at the Integrated Startup Complex at Kalamassery will also host panel discussions, fireside chats and keynote conversations between female luminaries from a diverse range of fields such as technology, business, media and entertainment. Besides knowledge-based sessions, there will be one-on one interactions at the meet that is open for all women professionals, aspiring entrepreneurs, corporate leaders and startup founders.
