Microsoft has removed KK Software as its associate distributor on the grounds
of illegal activities made by KK Jha and his company. Everyone wrote him off
after the CBI raided his Delhi office. The software dealer community across the
country felt that it will almost be impossible for Jha to make a successful
comeback after staying behind bars for sixty days. But, now after all that is
over, Jha is busy bringing his business back on the track.

He has recently reopened his office in Bengaluru with the sole intention of
expanding his business. The office was shut down last year in May 2009. His
firmsKK Software, Secunderabad based MJ Software named after his mother Manju
Jha, and Koena Software named after his daughterhave done a collective business
of around Rs 3.5 crore on Microsoft products (mainly MS Office and Windows),
since the vendor terminated the contract over a month ago. The materials to his
two firms are supplied by distributors like Iris Computers and Softcom.

The highest single purchase from Jhas side took place on April 22, 2010,
where MJ Software purchased Windows 7 worth around Rs 30 lakh. "We are still
dealing in Microsoft products. However, the business is not the same as it used
to be earlier. We used to do monthly business of Rs 6 crore under the contract.
Now, post the contract being terminated by Microsoft, we make around Rs 3 crore
monthly. This shows that our 20,000 odd partners are still with us and they
still trust us. Selling Microsoft products has become more profitable now.
Earlier, we were billed at a higher amount, since we were Microsofts
distributor. Currently, we get it at a lower price from the other distributors,"
says Jha.

In addition to this, Panda Securitya cloud based security solutions
companyhas made Jha-owned MJ Software as its national distributor for selling
its anti-virus products. He also reveals that he is open to resuming business
with Microsoft if the vendor is interested. "I am a thorough businessman. Even
after everything that has happened in the past, I am ready to do business with
Microsoft again. I hope they realize their mistake sooner than later," adds Jha.

When one of Jhas partners was asked that how his relationship has been with
KK SoftwareRajesh Arora, Micronet Systems, Delhi says, "Its been four years, I
have been buying Microsoft windows from KK Software and I did not face any
problems dealing with Jha ever. Even when we got to know about the raid at his
office, nothing changed for us."

Microsoft, on the other hand, chose not to comment on the issue and only said
that they have disassociated themselves from Jha and they cannot stop people
from buying Microsoft products from companies owned by him.
