Kale Consultants moves in the overall ranking after reporting a substantial improvement in profits during fiscal 2003. The Mumbai-based company reported revenues of Rs 49.95 crore and a net profit of Rs 3.14 crore in the year ended March 2003. While sales were up by a percent, net profit was up 55% over the previous year. The gross block of the company grew 15% to Rs 61.49 crore. Kale is ranked #33 in sales growth, #9 in profit growth and #32 in gross block growth. Kale develops products for the airline and banking segments and the majority of its revenue comes from the airline sector. The company caters to 35 airlines worldwide. In banking, it is currently focused on the domestic market and has 30 mid-market banking clients across 500 installations. Kale too has ventured into the BPO space and set up the airline processing center in Mumbai to provide outsourced services to the airline industry using its proprietary product Revera. The company currently provides these services to Qatar Airways, Air Luxor and Canadian North.
