Juniper Networks

Juniper Networks, Cisco's traditional but distant competitor, holds around 9% market share in routers supplied to the telecom service provider segment. Its positioning here is that of a vendor who helps service providers transform multiple, disparate networks into a single multi-service network, very much the need of most telecom operators. Late in the year, Juniper decided to trim its workforce in the US and announced the expansion of its Bangalore center, which currently employs 30 people. The center would provide local tech support to APAC customers.
