JioMeet App is Free, Easy to Use and Similar to Zoom say Users

JioMeet, India’s own video conferencing solution and answer to Zoom, is now available for download on Apple App Store and Google Play Store. While users will need an invite code from a registered user of the app to start using the platform, those who are already using it say that the app is quite user friendly and similar to Zoom.

“As we all know, JioMeet is launched and I was excited to use this app to get a feel of its features. From the look and feel of it, it looked like a replication of Zoom app. Except slightly differences in the UI, feature wise it looks the same,” says Snigdha Sambit Aryakumar, a developer on Twitter. There are also several memes being shared on Twitter, for the app looks and feels to Zoom.

Nevertheless, users are also advocating the use of the app on social media. “Let's promote made in India apps! Reliance launches JioMeet as an alternative to zoom,” says Manish Jain. “JioMeet is many ways better than Zoom, eventually in the days ahead they'll capture the market,” says Abilesh Suthaveeran. Users also say that the fact that JioMeet is free, and has no 40 minute limit gives it an edge over Zoom.

The app says that users will need to ensure the following steps to get their company registered on JioMeet:

• Users need to download the app from App Store or Play Store,
• Log on to the sign-in page,
• Click on the company domain option,
• Enter domain ID or full email address,
• Click on continue.
