JioMart, Reliance Industries-owned e-commerce venture, may be facing difficulties in delivering items in certain areas due to lockdown and other restrictions. While a few customers have been taking to social media platforms to question about the delay in delivery of their order, JioMart has now flashed a message on the official website.

“Due to lockdown restrictions, movement in certain areas / pincodes is restricted making them unserviceable from time to time. We will resume services to such areas as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience,” says JioMart on its website.

JioMart, which was launched earlier this week on a full scale across 200 cities in India, has started taking online orders for various grocery items. Customers can order items and pay for the same through cash, debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Nevertheless, some customers who have prepaid for their orders have been taking to Twitter to question the delay in the delivery of their items. “My first order on JioMart is delayed and no information of likely delivery date and it contains perishables,” says Kanval on Twitter along with a screenshot of the order.

“Delivery not yet received. Kindly assist. Payment has already been done. No way to track the delivery status. The customer care number is always busy. Kindly assist on a priority basis,” says Aarti Jain. “hello, I have placed an order on JioMart, but no response from you, customer care not reachable, mail not answered..can someone help?” asks Pratap like several other on the platform. However, considering the fact that the situation at present is unpredictable due to COVID-19, delivery of items may improve over the days ahead.
