JioFiber Set-top Box Users Can Now Watch South Indian Movies on JioCinema

JioFiber set-top box users have access to several South Indian movies, which are available now on JioCinema, the on-demand video platform of Reliance Jio

JioFiber set-top box users, as well as other Jio users, now have access to a large catalogue of South India movies, which can be viewed through Reliance Jio’s on-demand video platform JioCinema. Recently, JioCinema partnered with Sun NXT, the online video streaming platform from Sun TV Network, in order to host all the movies available on the Sun NXT platform across 4 South Indian languages which are Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

JioFiber set-top box users by default have access to OTT platforms of the company, which are JioCinema and JioSaavn as they are available for free to those who opt for Bronze to Platinum JioFiber plans. Sun NXT library has over 4,000 South Indian movies in the languages mentioned above.

Not just JioFiber set-top box users but all Jio users have exclusive access to JioCinema, and the movies can also be viewed on the mobile app or the website. “Sun NXT is the top destination for the biggest blockbusters from south Indian studios and hosts the latest and most popular TV content from the southern region. The association between the two digital platforms will help deliver the best of south Indian video content to the south Indian movie fans on Jio,” said a release from the company.

JioFiber customers also have access to over 10,000 movies, 1 lakh TV show episodes and originals available on JioCinema. Furthermore, some other streaming apps such as HotStar, SonyLiv, Voot, YouTube and so on are also available to JioFiber consumers. According to reports, Reliance Jio will add more such OTT services on its platform.

JioFiber Set-top Box Users to Be Made Available Soon to Old Consumers

While the free preview offers seem to have come to an end, new users are apparently getting JioFiber set-top boxes as they are opting for the paid plans. However, old users too are being migrated to the paid plans gradually and will be provided with their respective set-top boxes.

“Thanks for reaching out. Jio will shortly get in touch with you individually. Till then, continue using your services. Should you need any further assistance, please let us know,” says the official Jio Care account on Twitter to old JioFiber consumers who are questioning the company on when they will receive their set-top box.
