JioFiber Set-top Box Gets JioTVCamera: All You Need to Know

JioFiber set-top box users can now opt for a JioTVCamera, which was introduced recently by Reliance Jio. The JioTVCamera can be installed and connected to the JioFiber set-top box in order to enjoy full-screen TV to TV calls, video calls to Jio numbers and audio calls to all mobile and landline numbers.

The JioTVCamera, which was announced last year, has been launched at the price of Rs 2,999. Customers can opt for EMI starting from Rs 141.17 on credit cards. The product is currently available for order only on the official Jio.com website.

How to Connect JioTVCamera to JioFiber Set-top Box?

In order to make video and audio calls through television sets, consumers need to first connect the JioTVCamera with their JioFiber set-top box by taking the following steps:

1. Connect the JioTVCamera with the JioFiber set-top box by simply plugging in the USB end of the camera to the USB port of the set-top box.
2. After connecting the JioTVCamera, reboot the JioFiber set-top box.
3. Customers then need to set-up the landline number assigned to them on their JioCall app through the OTP process.

The JioTVCamera comes with a lens of focus 3.1mm that offers a 120 degree Field of View so that the entire family can fit in one frame. The camera weighs about 0.093Kg and consumes 1.3Watt power. The official Jio website says that once ordered, the product will be delivered 3 to 5 business days. In case a damaged or defective product is delivered, there is an option of easy replacement within 7 days subject to terms and conditions. A one year warranty would also be provided for the device.
