JioFiber Rs 199 Plan Only Available for Existing Customers and Cannot Be Chosen as First Recharge

JioFiber has introduced two new affordable packages at Rs 351 monthly and Rs 199 weekly plans with unlimited voice calling benefits

JioFiber has introduced two new affordable plans for existing Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited subscribers, according to a new report. The plans, which will cost subscribers Rs 351 for the monthly option and Rs 199 for the weekly option, wherein the weekly option can be taken along with existing JioFiber prepaid monthly plans that start at Rs 699 for the Bronze plan and go up to Rs 8,499 for the Platinum plan.

The new prepaid Rs 199 voucher will come in handy for JioFiber subscribers should they exhaust their data on the plans chosen by them. According to a Dream DTH report, the release regarding the same has been uploaded by Reliance Jio online. “This plan is available only to existing RJIL FTTX subscribers and is not available as first recharge,” says the releases 199 plan.

The Rs 351 plan, which will cost Rs 414.18 along with GST, provides consumers with free unlimited local and STD voice calls, 50 GB data at 10MBPS download speed, and unlimited data at 1MBPS post expiry of plan allocation, and 30 days of validity.

The Rs 199 plan, which will cost Rs 234.82 along with GST, provides consumers with free unlimited local and STD voice calls, unlimited data at 100MBPS, and seven days of validity. “The Prepaid Fixed line tariff plans can only be availed by customers possessing a compatible Customer Premise Equipment,” adds the release.

Reliance Jio had faced a lot of backlash from consumers who were expecting the JioFiber plans to be a lot more affordable. Although JioFiber promised consumers with free 4k TV set-top boxes and television sets with certain annual plans, consumers still criticized the service provider for not providing the JioFiber services at disruptive prices like its mobile services. Nevertheless, how consumers react to this new development will be seen in due course.
