While all these reports can only be put to rest with the official launch of the Jio Book laptop, viewers should know that this is not the first time Reliance Jio has announced affordable products. Several products have been unveiled by the company in the past with a reasonable price tag, while some products are yet to be launched. Let us now take a look at some popular products announced by the company.

Jio Glass: The Company announced the Jio Glass at the 43rd Reliance Industries’ Annual General Meeting held in July last year. Jio Glass will support holographic video calling amongst other applications and will be reasonably priced. Jio Glass weighs 75 grams, and offers best-in-class immersive mixed reality services, said Aakash Ambani at the time of the launch. Jio Glass supports around 25 apps that allow augmented reality video meetings, 3D virtual rooms and more. The product is yet to be made available in the market.

Affordable Android phone in partnership with Google: Jio Platforms and Google have also entered into a commercial agreement to jointly develop an entry level affordable smartphone with optimizations to the Android operating system and the Play Store. According to speculations, the phone could be priced at as low as Rs 4000. The Jio-Google partnership is determined to make India 2G-mukt, Mukesh Ambani said while announcing the product.
