Jio Book price is reportedly going to be set at Rs 9,999 in India, and the product may be launched at the Reliance Annual General Meeting likely to be held in July 2021. According to a report by XDA Developers, the laptop will be Android-based and will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chip. Apart from these features, the Jio Book Laptop will reportedly have a screen resolution of 1366*768, will run on JioOs, will have 32/64 GB eMMC 5.1 memory, Bluetooth, WiFi 2.4 and 5 GHz connectivity and so on.
Furthermore, to make sure that the Jio Book price is affordable for consumers, the laptop will also reportedly come all Jio Apps installed. The company is in talks with Bluebank Communication Technology, a China-based company, in order to make this product a reality. While all these reports can only be put to rest with the official launch of the Jio Book laptop, viewers should know that this is not the first time Reliance Jio has announced affordable products. Several products have been unveiled by the company in the past with a reasonable price tag, while some products are yet to be launched. Jio Glass: The Company announced the Jio Glass at the 43rd Reliance Industries’ Annual General Meeting held in July last year. Jio Glass will support holographic video calling amongst other applications and will be reasonably priced. Jio Glass weighs 75 grams, and offers best-in-class immersive mixed reality services, said Aakash Ambani at the time of the launch. Jio Glass supports around 25 apps that allow augmented reality video meetings, 3D virtual rooms and more. The product is yet to be made available in the market.
Affordable Android phone in partnership with Google: Jio Platforms and Google have also entered into a commercial agreement to jointly develop an entry level affordable smartphone with optimizations to the Android operating system and the Play Store. According to speculations, the phone could be priced at as low as Rs 4000. The Jio-Google partnership is determined to make India 2G-mukt, Mukesh Ambani said while announcing the product.
JioFiber Services: The product was launched for Rs 2500, and customers were even given free services for the trial period prior to the introduction of the plans. Apart from that, consumers were also offered free 4k TV sets along with annual plans. The JioFiber plans have now been made all the more affordable starting from Bronze plans with the most expensive plan being the Titanium plan.
JioPhone: The product was also termed a disruptor in the lower mobile segment market as it was very competitively priced at the time of its launch. Recently, the company announced an offer on its JioPhone wherein new users can avail unlimited voice and data at Rs 1999 for two years, and old users get unlimited voice calls and data (2 GB high speed data every month) at Rs 749 with no recharge needed for one year.
