The postpone JEE Main and NEET 2020 demand by students has been furthered with popular YouTube celebrities now raising their voice on the issue. While the Supreme Court has asked for the examinations to be conducted after taking the required precautions and following the standard operating procedures to avoid COVID-19 infection, several student and parent bodies continue to ask for JEE Main and NEET 2020 postponement citing the impracticality of maintaining SOPs when lakhs of students have to appear for the exams.

“Dear government, please reconsider the decision of JEE Main and NEET 2020 exams. Exams in COVID-19 is not safe at all. SOPs can't be followed in each part of India. After exams, COVID-19 cases may soon reach from 70k cases/day to 1 lakh cases/day,” says a student Navin.

“Sir please postpone JEE Main and NEET 2020 exam in this situation. How can I give the exam in COVID-19 and also 100km distance exam centre from my home. There are no transportation facilities because I live in rural area. Please help me and also many students like me,” says Harsh Vishwakarma.

Popular YouTubers Bhuvan Bam, who has 3.6 million followers on Twitter and over 18 million followers on YouTube and CarryMinati, who has 2.2 million followers on Twitter and 24.7 million followers on YouTube have now joined the cause. “Are NEET and JEE exams getting postponed? While everyone is required to stay home and work, why to put student life at risk and not wait for situation to get a bit normal?,” said Bhuvan Bam.

“Request to postpone the JEE & NEET exams by the majority of the students is not merely an excuse but the genuine call in current scenario to avoid COVID-19 risks!” says Ajey Nagar who is popularly known as CarryMinati.

However, there is still no word from the education ministry or the National Testing Agency regarding further postponement of JEE Main and NEET 2020. The examinations, which were earlier scheduled to be held in April 2020, have been postponed twice so far owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
