JEE Main 2020, which is now expected to be held in the last week of May subject to the prevailing Coronavirus conditions in India, is being taken by several of engineers in the country. Due to hardships being faced by the students under existing circumstances, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Cabinet Minister for Human Resource Development has announced that the National Testing Agency has “expressed the desire” to allow students to change their examination centres.
NTA will soon expand the correction facility in the online application of the JEE Main 2020 form to include the choice of cities for the centre. The NTA has stated that it would make efforts to allot the cities of choice opted by the examinees subject to the availability of capacity in the desired city. However, a different city than the one requested may be allotted and the decision by NTA regarding this would be final, says the NTA notice shared by the HRD minister.
Students taking the JEE Main 2020 examinations may visit the official JEE Main NTA website, and make the desired changes in their online application until 14 April 2020 until 5 pm IST. Submission of any required change fee will be allowed until 14 April 2020 until 11:50 pm IST. The online fee may be paid through credit or debit card, net banking, UPI and PayTM.
The JEE Mains 2020, which were scheduled to be held on 5th, 7th to 9th and 11th April 2020, was postponed by the National Testing Agency due to the unpredictable lockdown situation that is in place in the country. The admit cards for the same will be given in the second half of April says NTA.
