“In view of many requests received from aspirants & parents of candidates of NEET(UG)-2020 and JEE(MAIN)-2020, I have advised DG NTA to further extend the date of making corrections in the Application Form including choice of cities for centers to 3rd May 2020,” said Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Cabinet Minister for Human Resource Development.

The earlier last date to make corrections was 14 April 2020 until 5 pm IST. Submission of any required change fee will now be allowed until 3 May 2020 until 11:50 pm IST, and the online fee may be paid through credit or debit card, net banking, UPI and PayTM.

Therefore, the admit cards for JEE Main 2020 that NTA had earlier said will be issued from 15 April onwards will most likely be offered on a later date as well. As of now, the exams are scheduled to be held in the last week of May. However, the exact dates, the HRD Minister had said, would be issued after assessing the Coronavirus outbreak situation in the country.

JEE a Main 2020 examination, which is taken by millions of students across the country, was initially supposed to be held on 5th, 7th to 9th and 11th April 2020. The exams were postponed as NTA decided it would be difficult for students to travel to centers in view of the Coronavirus situation in the country. Nevertheless, after the lockdown was announced the exam was postponed to the end of May.
