JEE Advanced 2020 Results Announced by IIT Delhi, 43,204 Candidates Qualify

JEE advanced 2020 results have been announced by IIT Delhi, and a total of 43,204 candidates have successfully qualified the examinations

JEE advanced 2020 results have been declared, and out of a total of 1,50,838  candidates that appeared in both papers 1 and 2 of the examinations, 43,204 candidates have successfully qualified the examinations. V Ramgopal Rao, Director, IIT Delhi congratulated the candidates who cleared the exams.

Of the total qualified candidates, 6,707 are females and Kanishka Mittal of IIT Roorkee zone is the top ranked female with CRL 17, and 315 marks out of 396. Furthermore, Chirag Falor of IIT Bombay zone is the top ranker in the Common Rank List (CRL) in JEE Advanced 2020 with 352 out of 396 marks.

“Congratulations to all students who appeared for JEE Advanced and got their desired rank. You worked really hard to achieve this milestone. Students who couldn't get the desired result have a lot more opportunities coming their way. An exam result cannot define your capabilities,” said Sanjay Dhotre, Minister of State for Education, Communications, Electronics and IT, Government of India.

He also praised the organizing institute IIT Delhi for successfully conducting the JEE Advanced 2020 examinations amidst the pandemic and announcing the results on time. Students can view their results can be viewed on the official website. Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Cabinet Minister for Education, also conveyed a similar message.

Apart from 97.94% of students having been allocated examination cities of their choice for JEE Advanced 2020, IIT Delhi had also arranged for transport for needy candidates commuting from remote locations and poorly connected areas through Eduride. IIT Delhi, from this academic year, has also announced two new degree programs for students who have qualified the JEE Advanced 2020 examinations. The names of the degrees are as follows:

  • BTech degree in Engineering and Computational Mechanics.
  • BTech Degree in Materials Engineering.
